God is relational in His essence, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We were created in His image and are relationship. The ministry of the church is in relationship with others. God desires a relationship with us. We need to be in relationship with others, inside and outside of the church.
God is intentional. He has a plan that we would submit to and worship Him. We are His agents. We need to invest in the lives of those within the body of Christ, as we become more like Jesus. We need to invest in the lives of those living is a broken world who need a relationship with Him.
We are Christ-centered. Jesus declared that He was the only way to God. To accomplish that He died in our place to pay the price of our sin. We are spiritually whole in Him. As a normative result, the Christian life is Jesus living His life in us and we are becoming more like Him.
Jesus prayed and taught His followers to pray. It is imperative that we pray for His will to be done on earth. Because He has invited us into His presence, we should bring the needs of our church, our community, our nation, our world, as well as our personal needs to Him.
We preach the Word of God.
Paul addresses Issues of the human condition both then and now. He tackles lying, anger, and stealing.
Paul addresses the nature of relational success in three arenas. The first is our conversation. The second is our attitude. The third is our behavior.
Paul encourages us to be imitators of God. He gives us three directives to help. Our motivation is as beloved children. Our perspective is the lens of others. Our investment in others is sacrificial.
